Introduction from Kelly
Kelly our Community Development Coordinator has been with Take A Bow for two years now. During her time here she has developed many different groups for the local community to attend, including book club, bingo afternoons and the extension of our Thursday Lunch Club. Kelly has also organised many community events, ranging from the Coronation Gala Day, our popular Christmas Lunch and Kelly’s ultimate favourite being the launch of Take A Bow In The Park! It’s also part of Kelly’s role to be out and about in the community representing Take A Bow, so if you see her at any events or groups in the local community, be sure to go over and have a chat!
Lunch Club
Our Lunch Club runs every Thursday from 12pm-1pm where anyone can come along and enjoy 3 courses for £5.50. Our catering is provided by East Ayrshire Council and customers can enjoy soup and a blether, just a main and pudding, or go all out and have all 3! We also chuck in either a game of bingo or a themed quiz at the end of each Lunch Club, where things get a little competitive! This group is a great opportunity to come along and enjoy some great food whilst socialising with the Take A Bow Team and the Lunch Club group!
Holiday Programme
Each school holiday we run an activities programme for children between Primary 1 and Primary 7. The day is split into 3 sessions, 10am-11.30am, 12pm-1.30pm and 2pm-4pm. Parents can drop their children off to one, two or all three sessions, making our activities programme a great alternative to childcare. Our programmes offer a vast range of activities from cooking, gardening, dancing, games, arts and crafts, messy play, STEM sessions and our ultimate favourite, Discobounce!
Events
Our community events programme offers an extremely varied series of events scattered throughout the entire year. We try to offer as many free, family focussed events to the people of New Farm Loch and Kilmarnock as we possibly can. We pride ourselves on offering a vast range of events that the entire community can engage with. Our events range from themed lunch clubs, intergenerational programmes, Community Gala Days, Take A Bow In The Park, Halloween events, Winter Wonderland and our extremely popular Community Christmas Lunch! Tots
Take A Bow Tots is a toddler group for children aged 0-5 years. We have a vast range of equipment such as our toddler bouncy castle and slide, an interactive ball pit, soft play and a huge variety of toys for children to enjoy. We also offer themed toddler parties for Easter, Halloween and Christmas where the children enjoy party games, dancing and surprise guests! We also occasionally offer educational workshops where guest speakers or external agencies can come along and provide an additional service to our toddler sessions. We also offer tea, coffee and biscuits to adults attending this group.
